I delivered this load to a levee project last year. First time I was unloaded by a back hoe.

I grew up and spent most of my life in Seattle. Be aware truck parking in the Puget Sound area sucks dog gonads.

The Kent area south of Seattle has a lot of industrial stuff and SOME of it is okay for truck parking. The truck stop (TA?) in North Bend is good. FORGET the Love's in Tacoma. Depending on your delivery location there are casino's with parking in Tulalip (Tulalip Casino) north of Everett or the Mukilteo Casino just south of Auburn.

    Immediate Seattle area? Fuggedaboutit.

If you are going to sit and look for a load, get to Kent or Mukilteo. Most shippers will be closer to those locations than north or east of Seattle. However, if you happen to score a sweet load of wine in Woodinville when you parked in Mukilteo, I never said a THING.

I had picked up a load of kitty litter from colony back in February. Paid $2/mi to GA.

Sitting in Butte, MT for a quick break. So far the ride hasn't been bad at all. Couple of 6% grades but I'm light. It's not like monteagle where you have to pull in and then go 45mph. Here They just casually mention 6% grade. That's nuts. And it's just as curvy as monteagle.

From my atlas it looks like the rest of the way is gonna go through some meatier terrain. It's only 65mph for trucks here in MT so I won't be making it as far as I had planned. So I'll stop at exit 16 some place called $10,000 silver nickel or something like that. And I found out I'm not delivering tomorrow but Monday. ######...oh well. I have a cousin in the Seattle area that I'll contact. Places to park are few in the Seattle area when I checked the app.

Lol some lady with no teeth just come up to my truck looking for money. Said she and her husband came up here for a job and that they're sleeping in the bush. Last time I checked, jobs were plentiful in TX. No reason to come up here. I gave her $10 probably for her meth and told her she needed to get back to Texas. In any case I hope she gets looked after.

If you can find parking at the truck stop in North Bend AND your cousin is willing to drive out there that's a good bet. What town does your cousin live in and what town is your delivery?

Oof. I hope you don't plan to park near Everett and plan to make delivery in Kent on Monday morning. That's a nightmare. If you do, take the 405 instead of I-5. Add at least an hour for rush hour.

If at all possible find a parking spot in Kent, then have your cousin drop you off Sunday night.

Edited to add: my brother in Federal Way said, "No ####ing way will a truck park in my yard again!"

Apparently the neighbors were greatly alarmed at the size of my ride a couple years ago.
