I've already taken and passed the tank and HAZMAT tests for the NC DMV. I'm applying for TWIC and HAZMAT at the TSA in Raleigh next weekend since we have weekends off. Would have done it this weekend, but I'm waiting on my official copy of my birth certificate to come in. It'll be here Thursday.
I have a pre hire from Schneider. The Superior recruiter told me to apply after my HAZMAT comes back and she'd get me into a terminal. Stevens has called me a couple of times. Of course, I have a ton of pre hires from mainly Van carriers, but politely tell them no thank you.
I want to pull HAZMAT in a tank, get paid decent, and have some reasonable home time as I cut my teeth. Eventually, I'd like to be home often and make good pay. -
Well not sure if you mind the hour or so commute but superior has a termimal in morrow. You'll easily make 60k

@Redcon.One , I'm curious, why the Pensacola/Pace terminal when there are McKenzie terminals MUCH closer? Opelika and Birmingham come to mind pretty quickly. Do those 2 not offer the Gold Team?
Is the terminal manager gonna make you commute to and from Pace or is he going to let you drop off your truck/trailer at one of the tank washes near Atlanta?
There are some active McKenzie drivers on this board, maybe one of them will offer some information, maybe not. -
The Pensacola terminal manager was completely fine with me staying up in Atlanta for a while until I get myself ready to move (if that's what I choose in the end). If I stayed in Atlanta I would most likely have to park my truck at the Opelika terminal and commute home from there in my POV. I would still be under Pensacola though, from what I was told. If I was to take a truck home it would be bobtail only. They won't let you take the trailers home.
