Does anyone know what companies specialize in handling gear for musicians on tour? Do they have company drivers or do they prefer owner operators?

compensation: $1250 weekly plus bonuses and benefits
employment type: employee's choice
This is a very different type of truck driving. You must be able to be gone for two to three months at a time. You must be able to enter Canada with no prior criminal history. Aside from being a great driver, it is important to have good hygiene and nice manners.
We don't run a lot of miles but there are times when we run hard. We run at night and sleep during the day in the truck at the show. You get a hotel allowance for days off to get a room and get out of the truck. You are fed a really good breakfast, lunch, and dinner on show days.
We need guys that have a lot of over the road experience in all sorts of mountain, city, and weather conditions. We put our trucks everywhere in all types of situations. We are looking for the very best drivers, not those that jump from job to job. Our drivers are paid well, are treated with respect, drive nice trucks and work together as a team.
If this sounds interesting to you, then reach out to our website, roadshowservices.com and fill out the online app or reply to this email with any questions. We have great clients, great drivers, and do great work. Thanks

Concert tour tractor trailer driver -
Averitt has a division called On Tour Logistics that does shows and concerts and such. If I remember right you have to be a regular Averitt driver for at least a year and have letters of recommendation from your DM to be eligible.. can't just hire in.
Special Event Transportation or SET also comes to mind, super nice Volvos I've seen pulling trailers for different country singers. Don't know much about them though -

I've worked with a bunch of former drivers that did that and they all had health problems. One of them used to post on here and he was dying of cancer. He quit posting, so maybe the cancer won. I worked with one that drove for Conway Twitty and was with him when he died.
Another I worked with crashed Lee Greenwood's bus; he also had health problems. He's a lot younger than me and has heart problems related to the job & can no longer pass the physical for a cdl. Nashville area is loaded with those former drivers. They had some good times for a brief period in their life, but it all came to a screeching halt.Last edited: Jun 28, 2017

I saw Conway Twittys bus in the truck stop in Springfield MO. the night he passed away. Did not hear the news of his passing until following morning. That was '93 and it was a hot night
