Hello guys my plans after school are to go to a otr company that has me home every other week then after a year or two go local. How hard is it to go from otr to local, i was thinking local gas tankers, local furniture companies, ltl companies and also food distribution.
Otr to ltl

All depends of Location, experience , clean record and so on..IMO it's very possible...wait for the company Guru aka @Chinatown ...he will be with you shortly...

Im really close to a few larger hubs. Tupelo Mississippi is close by and i could see myself moving up there. They have terminals for just about all ltl companies, multiple furniture companies, some tankers for pilots, loves, dupre and some food service distribution. Just trying to get a decent idea if my future plans are feasible.

It is easy to go to local after otr, but not local to otr. And for high pay and benefits, keep your eye open for ltl! Better pay. Try out fedex freight.
