I think it's like $60 for an exam. As others mentioned, do a temp job or 2 from Craigslist or sell something.

    D6?

What is that? That's meaningless. And don't give me the that leetspeak stuff either LOL.

You lost your license because you did not pay a ticket? Shrugs, go wash dishes for a week, in a couple of weeks your first pay check will have license money.

Miami is very expensive if you cannot put together 50 bucks right now tonight and are not working, why are you not working? Im assuming you are young and strong. No reason to lay around at home not working and broke. Sooner or later this net will go away and you will go to the public library to use the net lol.

I don't know why, maybe that's the same is why do companies who lease owners pay for their plates - in other words it is an incentive a bone to throw the employee.

Maybe it is to keep the tabs on their drivers and control them more, I think that's more plausible than anything else.

I surely don't pay for a DOT, that's not my problem, that's the drivers - I don't see where on the CDL form that says who's paying, do you?

I went to cdl school for a month and a month with my mentor and spent $300 in that entire period. 2 weeks at McDonald's should pay for both, for sure.

Yes they will, and once you get on with CRST you can bounce to another company, provided one will hire you with whatever issue you had.

Doubt that. Companies that pay are the ones who control the drivers the most.

Hogwash where you getting your information from? Its elogs and the million plus laws that's controllling the drivers.A physical is also the law no matter who pays for it.But companies want drivers then the companies should pay for the physical. What else do you make your drivers pay for?I bet you don't pay detention road brkdown and a hotel room if trk brks down either and no fault of the drivers do you?

Well Patty, I get that from drivers who I met and applied/ work for me, it is amazing how this site backs that fact up 100%. Look at the micromanaging of drivers by these companies, it is obvious what's going on here, the more that they pay a driver in incentives, the more they seem to demand out of them.

As for me and my little company, I am so cheap my retention rate is near 100% and that to me is a sign of success. You can find others like me but I seemed to be the most vocal of all the owners I know, mainly because I am not really like a few of them - afraid to tell people how to do this right.

So how's your fleet doing and how do you pay your drivers?
