Thanks,

Unlike the 730, Im not getting any kind of Traffic help - info - updates NOTHING. there is no bar to see ahead 50+ miles. only the map. and no matter what color i keep trying to change my own route to, it blends into where i am at. and then depending on how i have the map on zoom, i can see colors 10 miles out or maybe 50 miles but then at 50 i can't tell what is yellow and what is red or green.
So what exactly is "Working"???
Sorry Mark - I know this isn't you, But this Traffic think REALLY is annoying me -
I followed your instructions, and almost everything is fine and working, except there is no voice.
Tablet itself works, I can watch a movie or listen to music, but when I go to Truck navigation, there is no clicks, and no voice navigation.
Thanks -
Thanks,
Mark -
Yep, both volume on top, and volume in Trucking GPS are all the way up.
Still doesn't work -
You can delete .navi/navi_version.txt and do a factory reset. Then on RM Launcher run updates again. It will load the maps again.
Thanks,
Mark -
Which is better for my application, TND765 or Overdryve8?
All I've ever used were the non subscription ones, 710, 720, 730. The software is my most preferred truck gps but the hardware hadn't been the best initially. The 730 has been the best hardware but it is switching itself off now.
I have a driver going to running this rig, I'd like to keep the address book I've recorded over the years with the gps. Then the ability to remotely send him a route and track mileage for IFTA and monitor performance etc is mostly why I want it. I do not and will not require an ELD and would want to use the device exclusively for what I just mentioned without the ELD module.
I bought a TND 765 in the Petro yesterday thinking I could install it and set up a plan/activate it online. No, have to call Rand on a weekday, probably not open tomorrow because of the holiday on Tuesday.
Maybe I jumped the gun on which device would work best for me and y'all could give me your opinions on which device would be best while I can still return or swap.
So just to be clear, I have used Rand products for years and they are by far my favorite trucking gps in spite of the lousy hardware in the earlier units. Mark Kling has been very helpful to me in the past and helped me with resolving issues with those previous models.
What I don't want or need:
An ELD!
What I do want and need:
The ability to use the Rand gps platform I'm accustomed to and import the address book and truck parameter to the new device just as I have done when upgrading previous units.
To use the device just as I have in all previous models except now have the ability to remotely get the mileage information for IFTA reporting instead of taking the information via plugging in the rand dock with a laptop.
Being able to track the truck and driver performance remotely.
Being able to route the truck remotely sending a route directly to the gps unit.
