Too funny . . . and rather sad!! Sorry to hear gizmo57!! Are you really surprized?? Just like my former career in the airlines they'll look for any reason to be rid of senior, expensive employees in favor of "budget cuts", cheaper labor to replace you!!

My company uses 'text' for dispatch am curious?? Is reading text allowed?? A 'one touch' motion?? Not required to respond back until reaching "safe" point of next pickup. If in doubt about my recieving message they use GPS tracking as well . . .

Ashamed to say 'who' but used to drive as a contractor for Walmart, out of Reno NV and Sterling Ill. Didn't last long living out of a DC was a bit much, slavery for sure!!

They do pay your cell bill, if you work there. And also your car, house, and spousal bill too.

Contractors out of grocery DCs have it bad, I think. We get paid a lot more to do the same thing they do when we cover grocery routes. The last two days I did nothing but non refrigerated grocery stops and made just over $900 gross. As for the cell phone policy, I don't like it, but I am playing along, for now.

Yes they do a guy I know quit USX at the New Caney DC he said they average $720-800 per week. And he got tired of going to stores and beating on the door 15 mins. Then walking around to find someone.

Get in an accident and not release your phone records by request to Walmart. You will be out the door and have a hard time paying any of your bills.

Well there's been times I have to wait at the door. Even after I've talked to someone on the phone or walkie talkie. The response is got to find someone with keys to open the door. I just put it on the gnsr.

What all of you outhouse lawyers fail to realize is IT A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT, you were told about it and received an employee handbook.

There is new technology that downloads all your phone info instantly,no waiting on your carrier.
They will scan your phone instantly at an accident scene.

That's been around for a while. Different police dept have had this in place for years. This was when they switched most smart phones to all have the same mini USB port. Except for your i phones
