See the truck in my avatar? Part of his job was to watch out for low stuff. That truck ran off highway but there were always limbs and leaning trees hanging over the road and it changed from one day to the next.
We also run off road and highway lowbeds. You can bet those drivers are always looking.

Mind your own business. It's a cable line on a non restrictioned road.

I didn't go through the 6 pages of this topic. At the end of the day it's technically your fault BUT the line must be 14" clearance I think. How do I know this? I snapped a line at a delivery for the phone company at a customers place. It was 12" clearance. My safety manager said put it in the company accident report if it was too low cause that's the phone power companies fault they'll get the bill. Which it is true. Never got introuble for it or a write up. Any low lines you call the power Phone etc, they'll come fix it cause it's suppose to meet a certain clearance.

To the OP, I'm pretty sure your parents didn't raise you like that, unless they were a troup of nutless monkeys.

    Sorry.....
    I just got here...
Havent had a chance to read all the posts yet..
My internets been down in my whole neighborhood since "early in the morning".
Seems someone tore down a cable that ran internet, and plutonium from a local reactor.
Burned down the whole neighborhood, and killed a safe house for abandoned baby bunnies.

Anyway..What were ya'll talking about here?

If there's one thing I've learned over all these years, it's to be honest. I've had a few small mishaps and hiccups here and there. Every time I do, I'm up front and honest about it. I tell them what happened, and tell them right away. We're human...all of us. Sometimes mistakes get made. My honesty has gotten it to where my boss(es) trust me with their lives, usually get me what I need when I need it, and know when I make a mistake...it's actually a mistake and not negligence. Just my opinion.

I did the same thing by making a wrong turn and ended up in a neighborhood. After cussing and freaking out I calmed down and took it slow. I was aware of low cables and stopped and goaled and the cable was right on the header of my trailer!!! So I backed up and took another street and luckily got outta there without incident. I got a lot of weird looks from people though.
