Thats a cable line on the bottom. It likely fiber but its definitely cable. Its almost always cable tv ^ tele ^ actual power lines in that pecking order from the ground up.

Also to the other replies about them calling the cops or his company. Almost no one will be smart enough to call the company unless it was a well known company like fedex or ups and even then they'd never know who to actually talk to.

They would call the cable company to get it fix and be done with it.

Years ago I had to back up to a dock from a busy street, there wasn't a driveway in front of the dock. Just a curb,
I tore off a mud flap on that small curb.
So I did the right thing and called breakdown to get me a new mud flap for the tractor,
Crete dinged me, not a preventable accident, but the other one...
If it happens again,I'll take both mud flaps , brackets and all and toss them in a dumpster and tell them someone must have stole them.
So think hard before doing the right thing

Yep, owning up to mistakes has caused me more grief than forgetting that they happened. There is a proper time to own up to a mistake, and a proper time to pretend it never happened.

As someone once said; Choose your battles.

Well the first thing you did wrong was going into a residential neighborhood where you weren't allowed.
The next thing you did wrong was hitting and breaking the cable because you were higher than the cable which shows a total disregard for your surroundings.
The biggest thing you did wrong was showing your lack of integrity by continuing on your way.
It's always much easier in the long run, just to admit you made a mistake, seek an amicable solution, and work to resolve the conflict.
Now you not only showed your totally irresponsible resolve, but you now involved your company.
I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you.

Similarly, I once used a large sum of my amassed Loves points on a flap.... We didn't get service from Loves... Probably the only truck in the fleet with a Loves flap on it. Lol.

Point: Something happened. They just don't know what.

I'd have called it in because any downed power lines is dangerous.

Power lines are dangerous, but we are not talking about a power line. Like I said earlier, this was a cable TV line.

    Rocknroller4 Thanks this.
