@MooneyBravo youre an owner operator correct? The reason I'm asking is I see a trend of companies charging drivers for damages

My avatar on this board is 8 Audi's...

After I got this load (Houston - Denver) I knew it was going to be a high value and I intentionally did not look at the sticker prices because I knew if I did I would become to overly cautious, and I didn't want to treat the load any differently than any other load.

As I unloded them (2 stops) I added them up. $756,400 was the total MSRP of all 8. That was the most expensive load I've ever carried, but at the end of the day, it's just another load.

Don't sweat it and move on. The fact that you care says tons about your character and concern for your customer's property and that's all that needs to be said!

Yep! Same way, every time, no matter if it's Jags or junkers.

Look at how many cars you haven't torn up. If damages weren't part of the business then the companies we work with/for wouldn't have employees that only deal with damages.
I don't care how thoroughly you check a car out sometimes you miss things that you or the dealer will see later. None of us will ever be perfect and a reasonable company knows this.
Don't let this minor blip on your car hauling career define how good of a carhauler you are. I have been there before when I almost lost my confidence, but I got past it and you can too. Every time you get out of the truck give it a good walk around and stop second guessing yourself!

I use to haul cars Cary two sets of pins one red one blue, while loading use the red pins when you are ready to lock her down put in the blue pins, then count the red pins when you are done. Mine had 10 pins, if I didn't have 10 red pins when I jumped in the truck I did some checking to find out where it was!

    No. Company driver.
Yes, many companies are trying to get drivers to buy their own truck putting the liability, repairs and everything else on them. With today's sorry rates it's a road of destruction for sure.

Smartphone list - like an Excel Spreadsheet - and fill in the completed
checkmarks to the bottom. No need to re-check.
    You got this.
