Does Hummer accept your current self certification physical/Med card w/1year remaining? Or send you for a new physical at orientation?

 

It has to be within 30 days of being issued or you will be required to get a new one the first morning of orientation.

Did you end up going to Hummer Houser? I've been delayed back my way, so I have not called them yet.

 

No Sir. Great Lakes Cold logistics out of Warrendale, PA. 90% of headhauls are out of A&D cold storage out of Worcester, MA. They service all 45 Walmart DC's.

 

Do they allow pets?

Headed out there in a week or so. Been off the road a couple years, and am coming back , been the Operations Manager for a State Transportation Agency for a few, so will need to slowly re-orientate. Will be with a trainer / co-driver for two weeks (Safety said three or four if I don't feel comfortable yet). Do they get you home on your first outbound run? Don't want to bring a lot of gear with me, if I'll be getting back to the home 20 fairly quickly. Any other info my fellow Ops can provide will be greatly appreciated (Especially the Hummer Operators, but all info will be accepted). Am excited to be coming back, but a little nervous also. Have followed Truckersreport and the Truckertruth sites since inception and have found the info to be spot on from the management point of view, as well as the drivers (As best as I could relate, not being out here on the road).
