A couple hours early AIN'T early! It's on freaking time!

WalMart's refusal to work with the realities is one of the MANY reasons why Amazon has had such an easy time rolling WalMart they way a gang rolls a drunk.

I think what Walmart is wanting to do is simply get so efficient that they can build new warehouses that are only cross-docking. If they actually get the trailers coming in on the correct window they can have one side full of Walmart trailers going to the store. The other side is incoming that are off loaded directly into said trailer. Smaller warehouse equals less costs
As it is, even storing it a couple hours they need floor space to do it..

Let me understand this. You have a load you picked up at X. Your dispatch says your delivery is at X:XX on such and such date. Why would it be Walmart's fault that you got there ahead of your assigned delivery schedule?? If you think they are costing you money by not taking your load when you decide to get there, you don't understand JIT scheduling. They have analysed there shipping and receiving to the point that they pretty much know when that shelf space in the warehouse will be available for restocking and then you arrive early, no place to put the product you brought.

Never said it was Walmarts faults just saying maybe a little more cooperation and less penalties.

Can't we all just get along?

So you want them to not pay as much to haul the product as they now have to pay more for more warehouse space.
I dunno, I'd rather make more money and keep appointments instead of thinking they should have the spend more money on more floor space, leaving less for delivery charges.

Refuse their loads is exactly what I do. I did however, take a Sam's load this week. Easy money, in and a full 42,500 lb load unloaded in 35 minutes. I was only there 1 hr total gate to gate. Small DC in Hattiesburg,MS , receiving clerk said nothing stays there over 48 hrs, in one side and out the other.

This sounds like a case of the warehouse ordering too much product to begin with, NOT the fault of the truck driver.

If the truck driver delivers the load earlier than scheduled, this shows that the truck driver is very reliable getting the load there either on time or earlier than scheduled. At least the truck driver is not late.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
