As a trainer you will net close to 1600. Your gross will be higher. Your ongoing ability to train depends on trainees testing successfully to continue hired with FFE.

    Kwan23 and Kevin247 Thank this.

Well... I had almost 30 years on paper. Almost. It was my third gig as a trainer. I did not get to be one until 10 years in and again at 18 or so years. This was back in the day where long time was a asset. Those newbies are tender and you can overteach em or not teach em at all and ruin em. Really easy. Some will not see the end of the first day when a flaw in safety is uncovered. They get sent home and told to take up something else besides trucking. Others run into a mountain for example then freeze exhibiting height phobia or unable to deal with fears.

If you think you can have a giggling teenager on your wheel and you think no matter what will happen you will not get scared. You might be ready to be a trainer. Provided you are approved.

I remember the first day my first trainer went into the bunk, 3 feet of snow on the ground and more coming, shes slipping a little bit crossing into WVa Bruton Mills I think it was Trainer says see you in the morning, you are finished in 9 hours on this log book, don't you wreck it. *Slap

That was snow mountain 101 plus OMG I got a truck all to myself.... Then the snoring started back there, that cannot be too... SLLLIDDDEEE whoops *HEY!!!! *Slap! ok ok ok... back to driving. Big head popped.

Well my time with kllm is coming to an end. My overall experience with them has been good. Ran the basf account and Tyson account. I was running 2600-3000 a week. I would recommend anybody looking to get there start. But at least try company before going lease. Leaseing has had its ups and downs. It they would pay more and cut the interest down it would be a very solid program. I made money with them. And before anybody say leasing is bad. It might be bad for you. But not bad for the next guy. It all about what works for you. Any how my decision is based on company size, pay, benefits, and equipment.
