Does it look "close" to you? Seems to, IIRC from your last one. Man, that's really neat. Too bad I don't have FaceBook. I LOVE it~!

LTL is actually just the segment of the trucking industry itself where small shipments of freight are consolidated in order to ride together in the same trailer. It involves city drivers (P&D), dock work, and road drivers (known as linehaul).
Depending on the company, both city drivers and road drivers might have to do dock work. I am fortunate that I am a linehaul driver at a company where we don't pull doubles and we don't have required dock work. It is about the cushiest job ever for a ridiculous amount of money. The only drawback is that it is done at night. Some people can't handle that.KODAC, bentstrider83, tman78 and 2 others Thank this. -
Learned something new today. LTL means less than a load.

Here in the northwest, some of the newbie P&D drivers didn't understand at first why the line drivers got paid so well for sitting on their butts. We always explained to them that, yes, in decent weather the job was fairly easy (time constraints aside), but the line drivers definitely earned their pay in the wintertime, especially if they were going over the passes.Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -
I worked for one LTL that was pretty much from the coast to Denver. BUT, they had multiple stops once you got to Denver. There are just all kinds of different jobs out there.
Bob Dobalina and JReding Thank this. -
