Meh, whatever. I don't worry about it. I've never received a safety bonus, and I've been a 1099 guy for most of my life so I don't bother with any of that stuff and the differences in pay packages. I get paper that comes from Millis. I give some paper to my accountant and the government. The rest of the paper is mine. Good enough.

That's how it was before that new pay raise increase. When that kicked in they lowered it to .01 for all. The other .01 is included in that .05 raise or whatever it was.

This has been the topic of several threads and it's something that David wanted me to talk about here. Pros and cons and such. To me, it's just a bunch of white noise. O/O is coming and I won't miss the conversations.

Oh no! I saw Tim in person once at a comedy club in Atlanta YEARS ago & loved him, bought his cd at the show. I had no idea he'd passed away! :(

Yeah, it's been a couple years. One of my favorite bits of his is "where the f***'s my jetpack". Good stuff

Good morning Truckerland. I had a funny thing happen to me yesterday, I thought y'all might get a giggle out of it. When I come home, I suffer from what I call Truckeritis. It affects my sleep and my driving mainly. For example, last night I woke up twice in a dead panic thinking I had overslept and was gonna be late on a load. The second time it happened, I didn't even know where I was immediately. It goes away after a day usually, but it's annoying. But getting used to a car again is horrible. Coming to a stop way behind the car in front of me, wide turns, etc. Oh, and trying to maintain the speed limit. My car sits real low to the ground. So when I'm doing 60 it feels like mach 10, and yet I'm getting passed like I'm standing still. Thank god for cruise. So, yesterday I went to the gas station to put some air in one of my tires and grab some smokes. After I parked, a fuel truck came in and monopolized a lot of real estate. When I got in my car, I looked at the truck and thought "well now I'm screwed, I'm not getting out of here anytime soon". Then, I realized I didn't have a trailer. I just shook my head and went about my way. You'd think I'd be used to this transition by now, but it hasn't gone away yet. What a dope :biggrin_2559:

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this brother!! Now I don't feels like such a freak LOL, especially about driving a car!! I have an eclipse GT that sets super low to the ground and on my hour and 15 minute drive home from the terminal I get passed by EVERYBODY on the road even though I feel like I'm flying!! I don't even think about it to begin with, until I wonder why everybody is flying past me and look down to see I'm doing 60 on the interstate even though the speed limit is 70!! It is such a weird feeling to drive a small sports car that low to the ground after driving in a big rig for a month straight! Thank you for making me feel like I'm not such a freak for feeling that way LOL! :)

I wish I could describe what just happened. I just got a phone call that changed my life forever. Looks like my dad had a trump card he was keeping to himself. Jesus man, that was the most sobering conversation I've ever had in my life. I am still at a loss for words 3 hours later. I thought he was being foolish, and he wasn't. That's one of the most clever chess moves I've ever seen. He just shot a missile into the wall I saw coming. I'm not sure what's coming next, but this will be interesting. He pretty much just cut my work down by at least 50%. I don't have much to work with yet as far as information but it looks as if my future just got a hell of a lot brighter. Hope y'all are doing well. I know I am. Peace y'all.

It's a very weird transition, you aren't alone. And definitely not a freak. Before I started driving my truck, I loved my car. Now I hate it.

Everything you and @FalconsFan21 said. The worst was reaching over to flip the jake brake switch for 2 days.
