I don't get much life out of my tire gauges. Don't know what im doing wrong

I've been thru 3 of the pop out gauges,1 with the round dial(extremely crappy),a Slime brand from WM

Just bought one from loves with the little glass eye on it. Weighs more than the others. But I'm sure this will break too.

Am I destroying these with user error or are they just not something that will last long?

My biggest problem is, I put it in my back pocket then jump in the truck with it and sit down and breaks them.

So stop doing that. Mine stays on the floor next to my seat and the door until I need it

Spend a little more, and forever rest your frustrations...Heck, buy one of those gladhand connectors and use it inflate tires to your satifaction.

I've had this at my shop for 4 years...never looked back at those $20 digital gauges or the pencil gauges.

    EDIT:
You can use it as a "checking gauge" by just turning it on, and inserting the valve-stem into the nozzle. It will give you a read-out of the tire pressure.

I've had the same tire gauge for almost 20 years. I calibrate it every 6 months or so. But it wasnt a 10 dollar truck stop gauge. Hit up your local snapon guy. Buy once or spend 3 times as much over time.
