-
Yes a 3208 would be the definition of gutless.Airborne, whoopNride, passingthru69 and 4 others Thank this.
-
You just need to have it in the right size machine

Hell, my 6.7 Cummins would probably be "gutless" too if it where in a 900 KW.
-
No I've seen them in little service trucks, 613 scrapers, generators and many other things. Your 6.7 would put them to shame. Throw away Cat wasn't a term of endearment.Airborne, DDlighttruck, Lepton1 and 2 others Thank this.

I'm hearing ya man. Just Slamming doors was getting to me before I was put off for a spell. The only enjoyable part is the driving. I do miss the challenge of trainsAirborne and DDlighttruck Thank this.

When i worked for the railroad i heard that term often "throw away Cat" and it was true, 671 detroit ruled back then.
The 3208 did do well in boat applications at the 375 HP but when they turned it up to 425 HP it didn't do well. -
And no matter how bad it is, there's always a crowd ready to snatch one up.Airborne, passingthru69 and 1951 ford Thank this.
-
Yep. Bad head, hole in the block and a bad transmission. It had direct but no overdrive.Airborne, cke, MJ1657 and 1 other person Thank this.
