I decided to deliver Baltimore last since it's probably going e have the best chance of getting a reload.
That beam was originally supposed to cover my empty trip east with an RGN to pickup an electric motor south of DC. After we booked the beam and went and picked it up the motor got cancelled. It might ship mid August now.
So since we already had it in the yard it got filled out to give me a paycheck for this week. All of it together actually makes for a decent rate.PeteyFixAll, cke, Ruthless and 5 others Thank this. -

Lady that loads there finally gave up once he was loaded and backed me up to a normal dock instead of their outdoor crane. Apparently he wanted to load them all in one edge of the trailer. They aren't allowed to do that. They went back and forth for a while. She had to explain what to do with his chains to secure them as well. Even though they have clearly marked securement points.
I don't foresee those making it to the destination undamaged.Lepton1, Dye Guardian, cke and 9 others Thank this. -
Moved this load in 1990 during Desert Storm. We were moving lots of old Military Tanks and equipment. Ive got a few pictures of some Tanks i hauled where i opened the hatch and went inside and took pictures. I sometimes cringe at the way i secured some of my loads back in those days.

Hope this picture is allowed. My awsome team driver and wife "star" of 26 years. We team drove this truck on a many hot loads. This is about 1989 give or take.. It had armstrong steering we froze in the winter and cooked in summer.

You are bringing back memories. I started out in a cabover cornbinder. It was a Transtar, but I later graduated to a 9670. I remember the Armstrong steering very well.
