Listen to yourself... You don't have the "right" to drive 85? Why not? Don't come at me with the safety bs. Slow people are more unsafe with their phones and distractions. Why do they make cars with perfect capabilities of doing 100 no problem... I've seen bull haulers do 85 in their kenworths and Pete's... Ahh how I wish I could drive one of those and feel the freedom.

The other day I drove home from the yard in my personal. Man the freedom was amazing, but the conditioning was still there. Everytime I took an exit to go to the gas station I was looking to my right to punch the clock... It's so sad. I stopped as much as I wanted and drove as much as I wanted. Made it home safe. Oh and I drove 85-90 so I can get.home sooner, or at the very least buy my stop times...

I'm sorry 80-90 MPH driving home but Elogs make the industry unsafe? RITFL!!! No I'm far from being a proponent of ELOGS..... but now that's funny

If we are too dumb to know when we are safe to drive and when we are not. Then why are we not also too dumb to know what speed is appropriate? If the sign says 80, that must be what they want us to do. Sounds good to me.

    No actually I didn't,
anyone with a half a brain understands elogs are not about safety it's about compliance.
I have never said that they were, in fact I believe that the 14hr clock has in fact made the roads less safe because drivers are in fact rushing down the road playing beat the clock.
And now combined elogs it's going to get worse unless drivers grow a pair and stand up for themselves in addition to being better at trip planning , elogs requires you think farther out ,this is going to trip up a lot of drivers.

I truly believe the roads were safer when we had 15hrs of on duty time to use in a 24hr period any way we needed.

Your funny, but you don't have that right to drive that fast because the state set speed limits. Just like the FMCSA set HOS limits and the FMCSA says you will have an ELD. You can drive 90 MPH or even works 80 hours a week. If you get caught you will have to pay the price.
