Do you have it set to record to internal or external SD?
Start the Dash Cam, upper right - 3 dots, tap on them, then you will see your settings. You have to set to record to External SD Card if you wish that each time an SD Card is inserted.
Thanks,
Mark

Hey Mark, just did the big map update and my 720 is now suggesting all kinds of crazy routes for my regular runs. During the download, my internet connection was interrupted and I restarted the dock and download. But I think I might have corrupted something. How would I go about getting rid of or overwriting the map update and starting over?
Thanks. -
I would just like to say my Tablet is operating beautifully. Saves my ### everyday.
Mark Kling Thanks this. -
So how are they doing it, and in some cases better?txtodd Thanks this. -
Google revenues: approx 90 Billion
Rand McNally road data: purchased form HERE and overlayed with own proprietary data as a long-established mapping company.
Google road data: owns it's own mapping division including real-time satellites - in SPACE that is. Oh, and a fleet of cars driving continuously around the country recording the GIS data and actual ROAD IMAGERY 365 days per year.
Rand McNally fresh data feeding in: once or twice per year from HERE, and sporadically from the 25 or so drivers who actually do map feedbacks on their units and then connect to the dock and upload them. Pair that with slothfully slow state governments identifying truck-specific rules.
Google fresh data feeding in: TWO BILLION active Android devices (as of May) feeding their position and speed information every few seconds... EACH.
Actually, when compared to Google, it's remarkable that any GPS even comes remotely close. Good thing that major roads don't move too often... And good thing that Google doesn't want to make a stand-alone GPS or get into the truck-specific data game (yet.) But they don't need to make a stand-alone unit because they have, well 2 Billion devices with live Google Maps on them.
Rand, Garmin, CoPilot, etc are able to make successful GPS products (truck, car, motorcycle, hiking) because they do a good job in the "niche" with the resources available actually. Good thing that someone is actually making them with truck route attributes at all. Didn't used to be that way just a few years back...SilverShadow, peterd, jmroadhog and 3 others Thank this.
