You will have to flush all the oil out of the system. Heater cores, coolant hoses radiator. Use dawn liquid detergent. 2 cups per 5 gal of warm water. You will have to flush a few times.

Diesel Dan 92, SAR and Oxbow Thank this.

If it is the oil cooler, it would be a mess and you wouldn't make it to ASAP.
I bet it's something else. Do the coolant hoses seem like wet on the surface? If so, oil is penetrating the silicone hoses already and it's there not just since yesterday.

I had the same symptoms and ended up with an inframe. Miles are not the only measurement to go by. What are the hours on the engine since new or last rebuild?

About 12,500hrs. There is a little oil on the right side of the engine. I'll go take another look.

99% of rebuilds don't even touch the oil cooler unless requested. One thing I did notice is that coolant line running from oilpan. Does this have an oil warmer in oilpan?

    Oxbow and SAR Thank this.
