It is tough to see in that picture but I believe that coolant line is coming from the bottom radiator hose, and is probably routed from there to a tranny cooler. I could be wrong though. A couple of my cats are set up like this with tranny coolers anyways.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

NM, usally you get coolant in trans. Since the trans pump doesn't make that much pressure but not Impossible.

jamespmack, Oxbow and AModelCat Thank this.

Good to know. Didn't know transmission pump pressure was that low.

    Thanks guys.

I'm going to order an oil cooler and flush the coolant ASAP.

I have to run until then. Good news is I am not putting many miles on doing this months route.

Like the one post said. If your heater hoses look like they are sweating, your to late. You will need to replace all your coolant hoses before they discenagrate.

It can take several flushes to get most of the oil residue out of the cooling system. It is very normal and common to see small amounts of oil show up in your coolant after a repair since it is pretty much impossible to get it totally out and perfectly clean. So don't panic if you see oil in your coolant afterwards. It shouldn't be a lot though.
