All Magnum trainer trucks are manuals. As a new driver, you'll most likely get a manual when released from training, although I have had a few students put into autos. Some by preference, some because that's what was available at the time, and some because that's what we rescued and they liked it.

Actually all 17's and 18's and EPIQ trucks which means 10 spd automated manual...the last of the manuals would be the 16's...looks like all of our new trucks from this point on will be AMT's.

It seems like I'm in the minority but it breaks my heart to see the industry going to automatic.

    Knucklehead Thanks this.

Maybe automatics are ok for local drivers but if I'm doing long haul I need a manual transmission. I took a road test in an automatic for a company I didn't know what to do with myself.
