you don't know that for sure. article said he was making repairs. so ok, greasy, oily hands, trying to reach for a gun, and it slips due to the oil/greasy hands, and he still gets blown away.

I've fired my rifle after being shot, and blood running down my arm. And there ain't a firearm made these days without a textured grip.

This is not a truck driver issue this is an American's rights issue. We should all be able to carry if we want, no matter where we are or what we're doing. Lots of bad people everywhere, anytime. Some people need them desperately due to their work or may find themselves in high-crime areas regularly.

Of course proper [regular] training, registration, licensing, and permitting goes without saying.

Drivers can carry there's no law against that. It just that most companies will fire you if they know you carry

If I had runs to inner Chicago I would just carry a bazooka and a Ma deuce. Camden, Nj/Philly areas of Boston, Memphis, New Orleans, Houston, and other places are well known for truck hijacking or robberies.

But the only thing ppl from your company will say is "call the police" well I'm sorry. Dead ppl can't dail 911 Mr Joe blow safety director.

this "debate" has gone on for years and years. can one carry a gun? why yes of course, but get caught in a state NOT YOUR OWN where this is not allowed, and then be charged with a crime yourself. the state by state laws are rather specific to say the least.

now of course if it IS a self defense use of the gun, there is still NO way to foresee an amicable end to one's carrying a gun will go. then there are civil lawsuits for wrongful death.

yes, that's right, wrongful death. if YOU were to be killed by a perp, your family has the right to sue the accused for compensation.

so now, if YOU KILL the perp, and you are using a gun that is against the law to have or carry in THAT particular sate, YOU CAN BE SUED as well, and most likely will lose your job, and getting another job, may be tough as well.

so carry on this inane debate on carrying guns, legally or illegally, concealed or open....i'll live my life as i have always lived.
