Give Heniff or Trimac a call, Both are located in Lansing, IL. In Dedicated tank wash.
Heniffs ask for a year tank but we have hired a guy no tank exp recently. Also have several ex Scheinder tank guys here, Local, regional or OTR. We are really busy right now. and the money is great
    Trimac is also hiring.
If you want I can PM you a phone # tomorrow

Thats what i was trying to tell them. 6 "preferred" days off should mean exactly that.

They told me i can only take off 3 day blocks at a time, only friday, sat, and sun. So basically bi-weekly.

This does me no good. Most businesss are closed sat and sun. So this leaves me with 2 fridays a month off. It makes NO sense! The mobile fleet works 3 weeks on/ 1 week off. Why cant I? Im working an entire month straight.

I was going to go higher up and complain, but apparently they been a dbl for awhile now. Just going to keep quiet, save up all my money, and then when the time comes, 2 weeks notice.

That's B.S.! They're keeping you in a customer rotation, is what it sounds like. With technical market up there, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to block your hometime

That's great if you've only got one issue. That issue can probably be worked out too.

Thats my thoughts exactly. They want me staying around the yards, so they can have the extra truck capacity

Thx for sharing this - as this is the type of info I am looking at with potential employers.

If it were me - i would approach and attempt to have a "professional meeting" about this - especially if i had hired on as OTR with 6 preferred days off/month...

The alternative, i suppose, would be to scrap the Professional Meeting - and just have a RoyDMercer type of meeting about it.
