At home the jet skis on the lake have gotten so bad at running behind my boat and jumping the wake.thet that is exactly what I've done. Got.the timing down perfectly now to shower them with bbs or split shot.

I bet you will find Serafani or Zolads just as annoying.

Keep us posted tho, I'd like to know if the grass is greener

I remember talking about tail gating on a different forum, not trucking related. One member talked about all the times he brake checked cars that were following too close.

I asked how much damage and how serious were the crashes. No crashes and no damage.

So were they really too close? :)

We will see him in a year complaining about how no one will hire him because of his spotty work history. Hey, try sucking it up and dealing with it. It's called being an adult.

Another story about tail gating. Also not trucking related.

A young lady I worked with come in one day upset about what happened the night before. She said some @#$%%$# in a big truck (jacked up 4x4 pickup) was on her bumper which forced her to speed and she ended up running a stop sign. Fortunately nothing bad happened.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here but two points. First, you can't let the idiot behind you take your focus away from where it should be. Second, driving aggressively can cause others to do stupid stuff.

    i've done that...>!!

not telling you which one i've done, i gots morals and ethics about me...

i always used to say to co-workers that were always pulling over to drain themselves, "just go out and buy a catheter kit and insert it, and put the other end out the window, and drive, you'll never know "you're going", till you see a car pass you with his wipers on"...!!!!

Thought that too when I seen who the op was. This time though he has legitimate complaint / rant. As for to op, when someone is tailgating me I tend to slow down enough to get a decent distance to the vehicle in front if me. That way if they slam on their brakes I have time to do a more gradual slow down. If the tailgater looks to want to pass, I'll plant my tires on the fog line or just over so he can see around.

Basically you are not going to change the others driving, so do what you can to get the tailgater to be nowhere near you.

I have to agree with @ZVar, keep yourself safe and in the right... but it never hurts to get a bag full of 1/2" nuts from the local hardware store ;)
