    Chinatown,
Is there much money driving for Walmart?
I've worked security there alot and always saw the Walmart trucks and the McClaines trucks.

    Welcome to trucking.

Now welcome to the struggle to hire on to anyone.

ALL New CDL Holders ever minted the license have gone through trouble in the beginning to drive for anyone, somebody or some bottom feeding mega.

If you have your location @Chinatown might have company suggestions for you. I think hes the best in the USA anyway for that sort of thing. You might be surprised at what he comes up with.

You might consider companies that contract to McKesson in one of the bigger cities. They have a pretty strict operation when done right. If you can get on, you probably will have your life opened to you.

I've heard Walmart drivers get paid well. There's a waiting list to be a driver there.

Thanks for that tip China. I worked security at Walmarts quite a while and got to know a few of the McLaine's drivers. I've been curious ever since... :)

After you get a couple years experience, then you can probably go on Walmarts waiting list.
I'd rather run the roads, but that's me and not for everyone.

I'm not sure I want to work for Walmart or hit the road. I want to make the best money possible to pay off a student loan and other debts. :)

OK, do the comittment required for your starter company, then switch to a line haul company such as Old Dominion or some of the other line haul companies mentioned. As you know from other threads, the pay is exceptional with those companies.
