Post flatbed load photos here V2.0

Well, I've seen it done differently, but generally, the first and last ones have a strap that goes over the top, possibly wrapping around it, and pulling downward. Then there's a strap that starts next to slinky two, goes forward into number one, wraps around and into slinky 2, back around into slinky one, and then back to the trailer by number two. In this way it both holds them both together and pulls them both in a rearward direction. Next strap starts near where the first one did but goes backward, going through number three and then binding 2 and 3 together and pulling them both forward. Alternating this way, every slinky is bound to the one in front of it and the one behind it, and ever slinky has a strap on it stopping it from moving forward or backward.

 

Do you guys strap them to the inside of the box?

I want to get into LTL one day, I like open deck and I'm interested in heavy haul but I'd like to get back to home every day until my kids are older. Coming from open deck, pulling a box is actually a little disconcerting, considering how much I see boxes with nothing securing the load inside of them...

 

I am picking up another load of them Monday going back to the same customer. I will get you some better photos of how it's secured.

 

I've done countless loads of slinkies and only one time ever have I had to put cardboard between them. Customer request, to apparently avoid having them rub together during transport. Funny thing is we put a 2nd layer on top of the first with no cardboard. Even the loader agreed it was stupid, but still what the customer wanted.
