First timer on here but a 35+ year veteran.iv done about all of it but really been out of the main stream trucking world.iv been doing local dump work for about five years but have the itch to go back to freight.i am and been a o/o and small fleet owner half of my carrier but after this season I'm going to sell my dump and be a company driver.get insurance and let them do all the worring.
So what I'm looking for ? Regonal work out of chicago are.home weekends.70k+ a year.....good equipment. ...I wouldn't mind going to work for a o/o as long as we could work in some insurance money...this will probably be my last job so I plan on doing my home work and only going with the best.
So I'm looking for leads, advise, and job offers...........thank you

I work for a good dry van company out of Illinois. I prefer not to name them on the public forums but will in a pm if you wish. Is 70k+ an absolute must? I'm not sure you would make quite that much here. Not impossible, but I wouldn't count on it. They usually tell new guys they will average 1200/week. Guaranteed minimum of 1050. Then again, you have a lot of experience so, they would obviously pay you at the highest rate, but I wouldn't know how much.
Otherwise, our guys are home every weekend (Saturday AND Sunday), stay mostly in the Midwest, late model freightliner automatics. Pretty easy stress free work, no touch, very few headaches, etc.
Just shoot me a pm if you might be interested, good luck in your search.supremegod, hoosiergirl and Lonesome Thank this.
