im going into orientation this week with dart. my question is which of the new trucks are the dart drivers finding more efficient, powerful and profitable? currently they are offering 2018 cascadias and t680s with stick and full warranties for less than $600/week. im used to cascadias, but theyve got a helluva lotta quirks and glitches. drove an old 05 kw as a rookie and dont really recall that many issues with it. i think resale value would probably be higher with the kws as well.

    thoughts, feelings, opinions?

thanks guys, stay safe out there.

I once work for them, don't get me wrong there not bad to work for, but they way how they pay you will not see a big check every week so keep that in mind, yes most of their trucks are nice but remember nice truck don't pay bills at home

I prefer my 16 t680 to my 2015 cascadia. That said, freightshaker tend to be cheaper to repair.

Looking into DART.... I've been in and out of this business since the mid 90's.... I'm currently semi retired (since February this year)

I looking at going back to work for another 3 years. I am considering DART for several reasons. For one, the Sellersburg, Indiana terminal is about an hour and 40 minutes from my house. I am going to call them on Monday....

One of my questions is this: Is it true that the DART lease operators on the Dedicated Accounts such as GP or Target etc can NOT turn down a load ?? But the lease ops on the reugular NON Dedicated fleets can ??

Yes it is true but it's not as bad as it sounds. Cause u go to the same places all the time I'm all the time.

Thanks for your reply ! I am just about ready to come to DART ! I have heard fairly good things about them. Three years and I will be ready to retire. I have done several lease purchase deals in the past. I am very familiar with what it is all about and what it takes to make it work.

Oh ! One other question.... Does DART require you to have a maintenance account with them ? Is it MANDATORY ? Because I have been involved in at least one lease where it was optional. (I know that might be out of the ordinary)

Yes they do and also know you don't get the escrow when you leave.

No turn on dedicated, you can turn down the other with a good reason, like let's say you run the south east short Hall and they come up with a load that is out of your zone you can refuse it with no problem, now you just don't feel like going to let's say Walmart, because you just don't like Walmart lol you will get to love the truck stop,
