I imagine I'd have tough go with that too. I attach quicker to animals than people; always have.

I like him better than most people, lol. 'Piggsburgh' - black and blue like a Pittsburgh steak, eats like a champ. He's not a road-fish tho... Lol.

Maine Coon Cat (or: Maine Shag).... Weighs, healthy, about as much as the 'average' bobcat (20-ish lbs). Way more sociable tho. Not much inclined to rip off your face. Lol.

    :D

I've kept fish (at least 1) for years. They're great for stimulating tranquility and while some are tough to keep (larger the tank, the more forgiving it is), it's worth the work. Aqua-culture can be an expensive habit tho........ Small wonder I work with water, eh? I've pretty much got the bio-metrics of it bent over a stool. Lol.

Wife used to have a salt water HUGE tank when she was growing up in Florida, and keeps nagging me for a tank. I think she watches that show too much, LoL. She swore it helped her thru the growing pains of life, though. Probably so.

Those Yorkies are great little dogs. We have had a couple of them, easy to train, do not she'd hair everywhere.

I was at a warehouse a couple weeks ago picking up a load, this young girl parks beside me and goes to check in.
She left her little Yorkie in the truck, she stood in the seat patiently looking out the window. Then she stood on the steering wheel and pushed the city horn for a solid 30 seconds, sat and looked out the window, stood on the horn again, sat and looked out the window. When the girl returned, I told her what the pup had done, she laughed and said she does that every time I leave her alone in the truck.

Marine tanks are certainly the greatest challenge regarding water parameters.... So many beautiful fish tho.... and other little living things you can add - varieties of crabs & cleaners, anenomie, polyps, urchin, live coral... Throw onto the bill all the filtration, testing, additives... You can see how if you go balls-out, that price tag skyrockets quick. But God, does a 125 gallon hexagonal Marine tank, well kept, look good.

She has pictures of hers in her scrapbook, but it wasn't the hex model. Everything (almost) in there she could fit. Had to 'will' it to her sister in Florida when she moved here; it's still up and running. We get 'pix' of the kids on occasion, LoL. It was absolutely amazing; I saw it in person a few times on visits.
Wife said it was her hole with water she put money into, since she didn't own a boat, LoL.
