Only 2 things are required. Congressional or DEA action legalizing weed AND the development of a test that can measure the current real time THC levels in the human body. Then once the test is accepted it gets used, Much like a cop can use a breathalyzer for alcohol today. I am not going to give a timeline on any of this, but I would say no more then 10 years.
BUMBACLADWAR and fishonron Thank this. -
Anyone with a CDL is subject to random tests and would be risking their career if they come up positive for pot or other prohibited drugs.
Even without a CDL and it's required random drug testing, should you ever be involved in an accident (your fault or not) as a commercial carrier for hire you will be tested after the accident and you would probably put your dad out of business after a positive result is found and the other party's lawyers see those results.BUMBACLADWAR and pattyj Thank this. -

I love how you think professional drivers should sympathize and help you with your desire to keep smoking weed. I don't give a rat's ### if you have "chronic pain". There are no drivers on the road who are ok with you being stoned and driving. Like PattyJ said- go ask your dad if he's cool with that.
dunchues and UsualSuspect Thank this.
