Alright I have an LTL shipment to deliver. I would like to use Dayton Freight but am scared I will get screwed on the price. I'm scared that then I will be forced to use Freightcom which is fine I have no problem with Estes but would like to ship direct but I think I'll get screwed on the rate help!

There was a time when I inherited a bunch of stuff from a previous employer of mine, we lost an account and pulled all our stuff out of there. My employer didn't want any of the toilet paper or paper towels and I had cases of the crap in my storage locker.
At the time there was a guy in Corpus Christi that I knew, he said he would take it. I just wanted the stuff gone, it was the commercial rolls of toilet paper the big ones not the standard rolls that you get at your house so it had no residential value.
Anyhow, I called around and got raked over the cols on the shipping rate.
So I put the shipment up on U-Ship Freightcom called said they could ship it CLE to Corpus Christi via Estes for $109.00 bucks or something. I palllatized the shipment, we banded it together at my Uncles Welding shop Estes came backed up to the dock put PRO sticker on the shipment we loaded it on with the fork lift and they shipped it down to Texas.
Ryan in Texas got a call and drove his pick up truck to the Corpus Christi Estes Terminal and picked the shipment up at the terminal none of this lift gate residential delivery crap. Saved me the residential fee and the lift gate fee.G13Tomcat and Bob Dobalina Thank this. -
Man what a night. Warehouse was down all day yesterday which resulted in my route being released 3 hours late.. got to the hotel 2 hours late. Felt bad for the guys who were waiting and shipping hadn't even began packing their routes yet.

If anyone sees the squished possum on 265 in Louisville, it was me.
I got a skunk last night too. Oops. I was able to gently ease over enough to miss it with the tractor but got it with the lead and dolly. Luckily Indy has an automatic wash bay. I ran that set through 3 times before I broke it.Last edited: Aug 14, 2017
