1099 vs W2

    all my drivers make more $ on 1099 than on w2

    i hope you r not writing things off without being a contractor lol

    So how are these drivers saving $3-5000 in taxes being paid by 1099? Since they have to pay double the social security tax because the employer is not paying their 50% share? Plus you have to carry your own workers compensation? Ask them to explain that to you....

    they are saving that money because i Paid them more vs w2 . thats how pumpkin guy

    That was not what I was meaning....I was using the example where both the employee and the independent contractor were paid the same, and the resulting tax burden would be greater on the independent contractor due to the higher fica tax payment by the independent contractor.

    no you can't pay them same no way. 1099 drivers have to get paid more by at least 20%

    What do they write off what a Schneider driver can't?
    Gloves, paper towels, showers, per diems, a screwdriver or two, a bunch of scent diffusers, it is all what they can write off so Schneiders or Swifts can. So how can they pay smaller taxes? Do you have them pay for cat scales or PMs? Maybe you pay them cash?

    Anyway, I don't give a f... what you do, I advise people to stay out from 1099 outfits.

    and YES, I WORKED ON A 1099, did you NOT READ THAT AS WELL..???

    IT IS A CHEAP WAY FOR THE EMPLOYER to get out of responsibilities, or did you not gather that from my posting.>????
