I'm not trying to get in anyone's business but I see a ton of company's advertising we pay $1.00 a Mike plus Fuel surcharge. They has to be more to it cause it cost more than that a mile just to operate the truck. A insight would be appreciated

They are honby truckers. Their spouse makes enough to support the family so they're just out there taking up space, getting in our way and trying to keep busy. Ha!

I've never been an owner op but from the many threads thruout the forum those drivers are newbies themselves and haven't did the mathand also those drivers are lease operators any true owner op knows what or how much it takes to succeed.

    To answer your question.

They don't make it on a buck a mile.

If anyone wants to drive for 1.00 a mile I'll gladly talk my brokerage into reactivating their carrier MC and let you lease on!

I'm barely even kidding. How do they ever talk anyone into these deals? It's SO profitable on their end. I'm pretty sure it's possible to avg 2.00/mile right now off the load boards with a 1 month old MC and crappy equipment.

I'd haul for 1 a mile in my car.

They megas purchase fuel for a buck a gallon. That's what the England leasors say they're paying and I've asked a few drivers.

I'd ask swift or central but I have no idea how to tell who's lease and who's company.

    Never talked to JCT either.
