    Any advice?

Corporate did a lot of digging on me, but approved this recent CDL grad. How much they looked at me was surprising. It felt more intensive than my security clearance. Lol

Jack, the terminal manager, has been great.

They're strict; probably why they're such a good company.

The paperwork and all testing, drug screen, road test, agility etc. are scheduled for August 17th at 8 AM.

I am stoked to have the opportunity. Will try to do a thread about my experience as a new CDL grad hire/ trainee....

Looking forward to it. I have only been to the Wilmington terminal once and that was years ago when I was still running the system. Will be interested in what your freight is like and how often you venture over to High Point to pull our freight.

Jack did say they send us to High Point once in a while during slow times. The nice thing is that I'm almost exactly in the middle between the two terminals. I might be 20 miles closer to Willmington.

Well everything went great today. Once the drug screen paperwork is back, we can get this going. I don't know if there are others in competition with me or not, but the road test guy made me feel confident about being the newest trainee

Jack is out until Monday, so I'll chat with him then about the next step.

Great bunch of folks at the terminal

Congrats sounds like you are in. We are so busy now if they had several qualified guys they would probably hire all of them

Mary, the recruiter, said the number of drivers each terminal was looking for in NC. I like the fact that they need drivers but are still picky about who comes on. It's frustrating going thru the process and that probably thins out some folks. Sticking with it looks to be worth it.

Still in a holding pattern. Medac, the company which does the medical didn't include the disclosure form in my packet. Jack said they do that a lot. He'll keep me updated and we should have final word on approval one way or the other this afternoon or tomorrow at the latest.

The waiting is frustrating, but out of my hands, so I'll join everyone else in staring at the Sun to pass less than 3 minutes of time.
