Has anyone tried and been successful to sue TRU NORTH to honor there warranty for the denied claims/repairs to your truck?

There sister company Freedom Shield Warranty in Dallas is who took my money and denied my claim for a basic rebuild ....claims Cummins had issues with there ISX 500k ago when I purchased at 722k I'm trying figure out what do this has to do with me now!! Dont do your homework on the ENGINE now to try to get out of fixing my truck. I tried to beg the finance company Freedom Finance to fix my truck and add it to the end of my loan they claim they couldn't help me. So I told them to come pick it up the truck at South Dallas Freightliner. By the way my usedtruck salesman Carlos and his Manager refuse to help out in any way.

FYI I have a Cummins ISX15 that did the carbon buildup on the rings. Ends up using oil and plugging the DPF.
Cummins had Valvoline make a special oil that you can try to reverse this problem. It's $100 per gallon but could save you 25k or more. Mine was using 1 gallon per 2k miles. Did the oil change and it started using no oil at all. Run that oil 20k miles and go back to regular Delo. On the regular oil the truck only used 1 gal in 15k miles and no more DPF problems.
Just trying to help! It's worth a shot before spending 10's of thousands on a rebuild, or ruining your credit by defaulting.
Also make sure the fuel tappet update is done as well. Metal can flake off and circulate through your engine.aayluv, 9417, Allready Transport and 1 other person Thank this. -

I bought a 2013 Peterbilt from Calgary Heavy Truck last fall. They promoted the Tru North Warranty and said it was great because it covered all the major components including engine and driveline. When I bought the truck it had 630K kilometers (400K Miles). At 700K the valve seals went as well as having to completely redo the DPF system. At 720K the rest of the engine went causing me to rebuild including new head and turbo. What did I get from Tru North ..... not one single penny. They denied my claim because they said our root cause of the failure is not allowed because it is already a known fault. Sorry ..... if this is a known fault, why are you selling warranty and secondly, why didn't Calgary Heavy truck warn me that there was a potential for these engines to self destruct.
Having a regen go through one cylinder is the mose idiotic way to control emissions burn.
To put it mildly I will not recommend getting a third party warranty to anyone and nor would I recommend buying any ISX engine that has over 650K kilometers.
I am in the process of trying to get my money back from the warranty costs. If there is any legal action against Tru North, I want in on that.9417 Thanks this. -
