    In all the years I ran into Michigan and Ohio I never saw "operated by abc trucking." I saw "leased to abc trucking" a million times though. Must be something new l guess.

    Operated by = owner/driver
    Leased to is self explanatory
    New or not that's what they say

    None of us are lawyers, thus not capable of interpenetrating DOT regs. That's why I ask for their opinion.

    Are you kidding me? It was just posted and is written in simple English that a 2nd grader can understand.

    Exactly what spyder said. "Operated by" is the company with the authority. I don't need to be a lawyer to understand simple English language.

    I was told a long time ago that extra lettering only draws extra scrutiny and to keep it as simple as possible.

    @Cottonmouth85

    some people want to show that they are "real owners" with "real companies" with "real logos & names"

    I'd rather be stealth. Less is more (peace)

    @12 ga are these 2 posts that hard to understand? If they are, please pull your truck over now, turn the engine off, turn your four way flashers on, take the key out of the ignition, grab all copies of your truck key, open your driver side door, get out of your truck, lock the doors, open your fuel tank, drop ALL of your keys in fuel tank, start walking down the road in whatever direction you prefer! I'm sure you'll say you'll need a lawyer to interrupt what direction you need to walk in since that's to complicated for you to understand.

    RStewart Thanks this.

    You have the operated by backwards...operated by refers to authority not the dopey driver..

    I have been leased to Schneider for 6 years. I have my company name on my doors. Not operated by or leased to, just company name. Never had an problem with it like that.
