Long time since I've spoken with you Mark. Today purchased a TND Tablet 80. I had it running fine, except that it owuldn't let me use any of the functions that require a WiFi connection. After reading the quick start manual, saw that I was supposed to set up a WiFi connection before anything else. Well it never asked me to do that. So, I factory reset the whole tablet, set it up correctly, and let it run thru all the map updates. After all that finished, I opened the Truck GPS app. After a few seconds, it immediately closed itself. Any ideas?

I have had my tnd t80 for a few months and today it froze up on me and when I rebooted it the device will not get past the randmcnally screen. I have tried to reset, factory reset, plug into my dock software and nothing happens. still stuck on the same screen.

so I've had 2 models in the past few years, first one was one of the 700 models, now I have the 530, the last one just wouldnt keep charge, and wouldn't charge often when it was plugged in so I got the 530... really sucked with the screen size difference lol but I wanted to stay on the lower side cost wise
anyway, with both models, any time I find a location manually, like i pan around the map and put the cross hairs on a location (truck stop, cat scale, etc... ) and I click the option to add as a via, it never works. It goes thru the whole rerouting thing, but it doesnt reroute, and leaves the OK icon in the top right along with the magnifying glass, but does not route to the new location I chose. its been hooked up to the computer multiple times and its not just the 530 it was the same issue with the 700... I'm guessing setting a destination manually isn't an option on these things? -
Go to 9 dots upper right/settings/scroll down to apps/ I need the version numbers for the
RM Launcher

Hi Mark! I have an open ticket pending with support, #1011828, but maybe you can help sooner.
Bought my TNDT80B from a retiring friend. I remember helping him initially update the RM Services back when it looked like he had never even connected the thing to WiFi. Lol.
Well, I took it off his hands and factory reset it. Followed the recommended solutions by yourself, but the initial prompt for update is always a 420MB or so update. It is map updates, the atlas, and driver connect.
19 files total, and they successfully verify. But when I go to manually verify through RM Launcher, I get 391 files missing. Truck GPS app looks like it will launch, but crashes before starting. -
Try this,
Be sure you are connected to a High Speed Hot Spot..... this may take an hour or two. You cannot stop once you start.
On your Tablet Main Screen/upper right 9 dots/RM Launcher/Info/on pop up screen - tap on Enable Configuration, code is 0135/the screen should disappear/scroll down/tap on Repair GPS Data.
Let me know how it goes.
What this will do is verify your files against the RM Server, if your files are not correct it will download the file(s) again.
Once you are done with the GPS Repair, Tap on Validate Current Configuration. This may take about 30 minutes. Once it is done then you will get a pop up. Look to see what files are invalid or missing. Let me know.
Thanks,
