Wassup Truckerland. Tonight I'm sitting at the Love's in Hubbard Ohio. If I was a good boy, I'd be somewhere in Pennsylvania, but I chose a better route. I delivered this morning without a hitch, my final has a perfect record of quick and friendly service. And I learned something...there is indeed overnight parking available. It's extremely limited, but it does exist. I don't know if I'd be willing to chance going there blind, because there aren't alternate locations anywhere close. But, knowledge is power and all that. Much to my surprise I wasn't sent to Clarion, and you could have knocked me over with a feather. I went to Titusville and picked up some sort of wax product. It's heading to Georgia, really close to the Cartersville terminal. It's a nice run, and it's good to have Opie back. My phone and my GPS were trying to send me down 79 but I've had enough of the Pennsylvania roads and nonstop construction. So I'm shooting across 80 to 76 to 71. Nice familiar roads with reasonable speeds. And it's only a mere 15 miles longer than the other route. This will be a nice relaxed run, as I have plenty of time to get to my final. It's not due until 11am on Wednesday and I'll kill almost all of the miles tomorrow. Hoping for some decent sleep tonight. Last night some guy that apparently had an air leak parked next to me and his compressor was constantly kicking on:biggrin_25516: Not even sure why he was running his truck all night, it was under 70 outside. Whatever. I think I could sleep through an air raid siren right now. And with that in mind, I'm signing off. Hope y'all had a good day, and welcome back Opie. I missed ya man :) Peace y'all, catch you tomorrow.

Wassup y'all, greetings from London KY. Plenty of folks have joked that Cartersville is where I live, but I actually feel tied to this place. It seems like it always comes up as a reasonable and viable place to stop on my runs. It has its faults but it is the friendliest place I've ever seen on the road and I may very well call this place home in the future. Today was fairly smooth and nondescript. Nothing exciting to report. Had some minor construction and a few traffic hassles but nothing major. I called my final and tried to get bumped to an earlier appointment time but no dice. So I am gonna leave a little early and hit the Cartersville terminal for fuel and then head there. This trailer will have to get dropped off after unloading, as I have a damaged tail. It's functional but I don't want to cause or get blamed for any extra damage. Not sure where I'm headed after this, but I will once again be in a position for a little extra sleep. So I am gonna take advantage of that and sign off. Hope you all had a great day. As always, be safe out there and keep the rubber side down. Catch y'all tomorrow. Peace.

P.S. If anyone out there is running an '18 Shaker, I have questions.

Well it is close to being official. Got my hat and shirts today from Bill at Trenton. Wrap up a few things tomorrow and I will officially be one of the newest Millis employees. Was told that my trainer will be Kurt Stein. He has been on vacation so I have not been in touch with him yet but should hear something soon.

There's a great story behind that mannequin. Apparently he had a giant stuffed bear at one point, and one of his nieces kept asking for it. So that driver's sister got him that mannequin so that her daughter could have the bear. And they dress it up with different outfits based on the season. When I met him, that thing was dressed up in Santa gear :biggrin_2559:

I just watched a guy run over 4 trash cans and a sign backing into a spot, and almost took a mirror off someone's truck. Yikes. Oh, the things you see at a truck stop.
