Going to Swift orientation on Tuesday (Syracuse)

Don't give up! Do your time bumping docks then when you get your time in switch over to flatbed or hauling cars if you're worried about getting rotund! Especially in the NE. There is plenty of$$$ to be made and it is a decent workout...not a Military work out but better than just sitting on your bum getting round.

 

I just thought of this also. I know there are a lot of crane companies looking for good drivers. And that can definitely be a good workout. I did 2 years driving for a crane company. After my 2 years of learning and hard work I was offered an opportunity to get in my own crane. $$$$

 

Mobile Cranes is my choice. That's what I operated. Liehberr LTM 1095 5.1

 

There is always a counter weights trailer and Driver/ oiler/ rigger with the crane. I worked for a non Union outfit in MD. The Union outfits are pretty strong especially up north. Good benefits great pay and at the end of the day you know you did something. My wife pointed out the other day that when I was at the crane company I used to point out the jobs we did with pride! Now not so much. I'm really seriously thinking of going back to it.
Oh and I'm sure you will get military preference!

 

They're always looking for drivers on the Dollar accounts. Driver unload. Knew a guy who was consuming 5000 calories a day and losing weight.
