80/94 thru Indiana is pretty screwed up. Construction and lane closures. Try to hit it early, preferably while it's still dark.
Wright Transportation, Mobile, Al. The home I have been looking for...

We did a drop and hook in Loxley, then again at the yard. Load for Bay City, Tx. Plenty of time to get there. But.....something brought traffic to a stop right before the Achafalya Bridge west bound. (sigh).
Ended up getting just west of Beoumont. Got up a little early to get to Bay City. Headed up to Todd Mission, but one of the springs that support the trailer air and electric lines decided to leave and/or vaporize, causing the lines to drag. Finally made it up to Todd Mission for a couple of days of R&R.
Sorry for the misspellings. Past my bedtime and currently under the influence.
Night, all. And safe miles!!Oldironfan, Just passing by and bigred81 Thank this. -
Good travels to you both! Following the new venture.KD5AXG Thanks this. -
Checked on the truck this morning to charge the batteries and found our run for tomorrow. La Porte, Tx to Biloxi, Ms. Budweiser load.
Heads up to those in or traveling to the Texas Gulf Coast this weekend. Tropical Storm Harvey has reformed in the Gulf NW of the Yucatan Penninsula. Local weatherfolk and the NWS Hurricane Center are predicting a TS Allison type event. TS Allison dumped over 50" of rain on the Houston/Galveston Metroplex. It was not fun. If you get routed down here, I HIGHLY recommend you stock up on non perishables and drinking water to be stuck down here for a couple of days. If you are not aware, Houston floods easily. The city engineers did a bad job laying out the city. Houston can flood worse than New Orleans even though it's 46' or so above sea level. Folks down here have short memories and only care about themselves. Avoid the area if you can. I'm hoping to get to Mobile, get my tractor serviced, then head out again early Saturday.
Be safe, everyone.bigred81 Thanks this. -
KD5AXG Thanks this.

We made it out and are now unloading in Gulfport, Ms. We got caught in one of Harvey's outer rings in Iowa, La last night. Chose to shut down and ride it out.
The wife and I both are from Houston. She was born there, I was moved there before I turned 2. We know the time bomb that is Houston flooding. That storm surge is what is going to catch folk off guard. Always does.bigred81 Thanks this. -

Got back to Mobile. Tractor is PM'ed and a new headlight installed. Pulled out yesterday for Baltimore. Loving our no I 95 policy.
Currently at the Petro in Raphine, Va. taking a 30. ETA clock and 8 hr clock was too close.
Gonna dare Baltimore tonight. We'll see.
Peace and safe miles...
