Mark - Question How do I access Email on the 740?
and also can I DL any additional apps to the 740 and if so, How? I mean its an android.....

 

The 740 is locked down in that you can't install apps or access email. I'm sure there is a way if you hooked it up to the computer and used some command line magic but I havent tried.

I went to do my updated this morning and I don't want happened but it seems to be stuck on installing the com.randmcnally.driverxonnext update.
I think everything DL.
My status bar is wavy rather than a percentage.
I'm afraid to touch it as I'm on the road and don't want to totally crash it.

Hey there, I picked up a Dash Cam 300 recently. I like it, but there seems to be an issue with battery charging. It always seems to be charging when I have it plugged in, but if it becomes unplugged, it dies in around 60 seconds. It also gets extremely hot while plugged in. almost to the point of burning my fingers. It will also sometimes shut down because of the heat if its hot outside as well. I'm pretty sure this is not normal operation.

 

I bought a new TND 740 in the last month and used it without issue all last week. I now discover I have lost the plastic knob that is used on the suction mount. The knob I need is the one that tightens the ball & socket joint at the end of the mount. Any chance I can buy one without buying another $30 mount?
