I'll give you East Bound and Down. But in general.. If it isn't heavy, fast, and loud it'll never get any play time on my truck's radio. This is more my speed....

 

This is hilarious to me. I looked at my payroll statement from Thursday, and I have 87k miles for this year. Add to that about 2200 miles during school last year, 17k in my trainer's truck, and another 30k (roughly) in my truck after that to finish out last year. That's 136k estimated for everything from school until now. Miles on my car during that time....4k. And that includes trips back and forth to Trenton from home while I was in school. I had to do a double-take when I looked at the odometer in my car. Holy crap, 4k since July 4th last year. That's an eye-opener. There is literally zero point in buying a new car ever. In a way that makes me sad, because everyone enjoys a shiny new toy once in a while. But, car manufacturers are phasing out manual transmissions anyhow, so maybe it doesn't matter in the end. When did we become a nation of sissies that don't drive stick? Especially in a sports car? Probably a topic for another thread, sorry about that, I know I'm spiraling. But I'm still amazed that it took 14 months to accumulate the same amount of miles that I would normally have put on my car in about 6-8 weeks. That's nuts. Talk to y'all soon. There are two bucks fighting outside and the sound is giving me goosebumps up and down my spine. I need to go find some venison.....

Never heard of them, but I definitely like it. I'll be checking them out while I'm home

 

There are bands out there, a ton of them, from back in the day that made it on the radio for one song and then they were forever forgotten. I hate it when that happens. One of my all time favorite bands is Evanescence. Check out an album called "The Open Door". That chick's voice gives me chills, and that entire album is amazing. But, I'm biased. I love that band and I have all their albums. Amy Lee has done solo stuff since then and it's pretty good as well.
