Well, it took two and a half years but I finally had to get a load reworked. The bill says only 35k but Sabra managed to put enough of it in the front to put me nearly 2k over on the drives at less than half fuel.

 

Second time I have heard of them overloading an axle, will have to be mindful of that next time I get one of those loads.

 

Yeah... um, nah.

 

Chances of getting a volvo?

 

Depends entirely on what they have available.

BTW, I was told during orientation that the quickest way to irritate Bill (the guy who assigns the trucks) is to ask him for a specific type of truck.

In a new personal best, I laid down 735 miles yesterday, driving from Hurricane Mills to Sayre, Oklahoma. The lure of Indian food from the Punjabi truck stop in Sayre kept me motivated for the last the few hours of the trip. With any luck, today will be even better, as my target destination for today is the Little America truck stop in Flagstaff.

I will be passing the other Indian truck stop in San Jon, New Mexico, but unfortunately they will not yet be open when I drive past. Which seems to be my curse for that particular source of Indian food. The last time I was there when the Indian restaurant was open was a year ago when I was training with Shirley.

Was hoping to see my dad on the way out to Califnordia, since he lives in Albuquerque. But he will not be available today when I drive through. Hopefully I can catch him on the way back.

In other news, my brain has decided to try and kill me. I did not get any sleep last night. Lay there in bed for over seven hours, wide awake, before I finally said "f*** it" and got up to start my day. I currently have 24 oz of the high-test super-caffeinated coffee from the TA truck stop. Hopefully that will keep me going until Flagstaff.
