For anyone that can remember the destruction of Andrew you should know to get away from this storm. If you're thinking of riding this out, buddy I seriously don't recommend it. Unlike katrina, Harvey or these other storms that caused flooding. This will bring down homes and send cars flying. If you have family help get them out the way of this storm.

Cat 5's are no joke. If memory serves me correctly Hugo hit PR as a 5 before it died down. Help your fellow ppl get out of FL.

People are starting to stock up on food water and such but that doesn't save them or their homes.

I'd be getting ready but I'm not leaving prematurely, leaving my house and belongings subject to looting. Once you're packed and have a go-plan readied you can wait a few more days and watch and see.

Worst thing that could happen is leave southern Florida, but the hurricane travels across further north leaving your place in tact, but you're cut off from return travel and no way to keep looters out.
