    Hello everyone.

I got my class A 2 days ago. When I was a teen I was in a hit & run and one of my legs doesn't handle weight too well. I am 240 lb and yes I need to lose weight. I know. I spoke to my doctor regarding this and his best advice was don't do any surgery and lose some God #### weight!

I had no clue where to post this.
What jobs can I do that don't require me to lift? I thought I could do that for now while I get myself to a healthier state. I recently saw a " Rolloff driver " pluck a dumpster on the side of a road. It wasn't parallel to the sidewalk and he just started ramming one of the corners and denting the back of the truck. Um does he have to do any lifting?

Thank you, I appreciate your time.

Many trucking companies are driver no-touch freight. Some line haul companies are drop & hook.
Where is your location and how old are you? There's no maximum age for truckers, but there are minimum are requirements.
Did you graduate from cdl school?

Also I want to say I don't want to drive a class A vehicle yet. I mostly did the Class A thing so my family would be proud of me.

Try some courier or expedite services for small package deliveries.
Panther Premium is one of many. Google for more names; there's dozens of these companies in NYC. Panther hires new cdl grads for cargo vans like this one in the picture.

    Just thinking about his leg.
Best case-electric tarp-he wont have to get out of the cab-all his controls are right there in the cab.
    Even drop n hook,hes walking,operating landing gear,climbing in n out of the trailer,loading docks,etc.
Im remembering when i drove a dump truck(electric tarp) heck-it was a cush job-brought my lunch in my little playmate cooler n only time i left the cab was to pee!
Also-in constuction(north east) usually shut down for the winter n collect unenjoyment.Gives his leg a rest for a few months.
