The state of Florida opened up a phone line to report "price gouging", but how do I know if a broker is gouging when no one knows what they are charging for their service?

Are brokers scared to compete on price like we are forced to? What does a broker charge for the value he brings to the transaction? The law forces Real Estate brokers compete on price, why not freight brokers?

Brokers don't compete on price? Please explain how you come to this conclusion.

When you go to sell your house, do you want the real estate BROKER to be able to legally convince you to sell your house as cheap as he can, and then find a buyer for as much as he can, so he can pocket the biggest difference? OR, do you like the idea of knowing what you are paying the BROKER for his service of helping you sell your house? Please respond. THank you.

Please explain how you know how much the broker is charging for his service. He is NOT the carrier. YOU ARE.

The real problem here is, people do not understand the difference between a carrier and a broker and the owner of the freight. Please educate yourself. Thank you

Even a better example is, when you go to buy a house, do you want to know how much the OWNER of the house is selling the house for? Or should the real estate BROKER be allowed to hide the owner's selling price of the house and make up any price he wants?

You have been trying to compare apples to turnips.
Real Estate brokers that you keep referring to are the go between 2 individuals(or couples, family) purchasing/selling a house. The likleyhood of 1 or both of these parties having any knowledge on the practices of real estate brokers is very unlikely coz its a transaction they may experience 1,2 maybe 3 times in a life time. Would make sense for there to be regulation to protect people.
You are compare that to a broker that is dealing business to business. The go between 2 parties that should have negotiating skills. That should have a understanding of the business practices of who they are dealing with.
What have you done to learn about load brokering besides listing to all the #####ing and whining?
