Hello all,
I did a year with Roehl , obtained my class A through them so I had the 75,000 mile contract. After the year I had only worked off 33,000 miles. I put 90,000 miles on the truck but of course I didn't even think, it loaded miles only. My dispatcher made life miserable for me and she kept my miles low. I couldn't afford to survive and had to go. They told me that I could return and continue my contract to work off the debt. I had another dispatcher willing to take me as I was moving from National Flatbed to RGN but she wouldn't let me transfer. I am wondering if I should return under the other dispatcher and attempt to finish it. The rest of the company wasn't bad to me , but she made it hell.
Has anyone returned to finish the contract?
Roehl begins contracts to work there?!?!?!!

So Roehl gave you dispatches through that 1 year that amounted to 57,000 empty miles? For every 1 loaded mile you did almost 2 empty miles?Lepton1 Thanks this. -
JOHNQPUBLIC and Lepton1 Thank this.

I left for the same reason, low miles, went local and hated it. I went back and finished my contract and got my second year of open deck in then left again for low miles and came over to where I am now, that was over four years ago. Roehl doesn't have the open deck frieght to support their trucks and they don't care if you go broke sitting around.

It is definitely BS that they only counted loaded miles towards your contract requirement. All paid miles driven as part of the work assignment should count towards the requirement. I could see them excluding out of route miles but the rest is garbage. Good luck.Zip_Zero_Zilch_00 Thanks this. -
