Hi everyone,
I wanted to find out what kind of back problems you may have had or currently have and has driving a truck made it worse?
I don't have a disc issue but a slight bone issue.
Thanks in advance!!

I have disc , bone, and arthritis. For me, I just get stiff from sitting but that stretches out with a little walking. Back issues I have, give me problems standing and walking to long. I think you will find numerous responses with different issues for different folks.
Best of luck !morpheus Thanks this. -
Hi morpheus, at 62, after 35 years of trucking ( not the last 10, however) and I have chronic back soreness, sometimes debilitating, but my old man had terrible back trouble and never sat in a truck. Most of my problems, I believe began early on with rough riding trucks, old spring jobs, Macks mostly, that shook so bad they would pop out of gear. I unloaded all my own freight, so that didn't help either. I think the biggest problem today for drivers is not being active enough. Trucks ride better, and not as much unloading as in the past, so it's best to exercise if you can. I ride my bicycle every day, and that helps, it's exercise, but not straining. Exercise is the key.

My back was junk after 35 years trucking so got it fixed. No pain sitting but standing was getting gruesome so neurosurgeon put me on the hoist for 6 1/2 hour operation to fuse S1 L4 L5. Just like downtown now! Good for another 50 years!

You should go to youtube. Look up Dr. John Bergman. He hates to see pictures like in the last post. Made me cringe. There are definitely better ways.

Stem cell therapy , stretching and strengthen the core . Was in the moving business for 2o yrs and still do boxing as my go-to workouts , my body's taken a beating but I'm doing well thx to stretching and core workouts. I'm gonna do stem cell therapy for the back soon as I save some more money .

Get a shop hoist and hang by your ankles for a few minutes each day. This relieves stress to the vertebrae. I knew a car mechanic that did that every day. Funny, but it works.
